Who is Raunak Dance Co?

Founded in 2010, Raunak Dance Co. is a fast growing bollywood, bhangra, and dance fitness academy. We offer dance classes for all ages, at any level. We personalize dance requests and create dance classes fit for our students' needs.

Meet The Owner/Choreographer

Dancing since the age of 13, Owner and Choreographer, Shilpa Rajput, took her passion and love for dance and turned it into a dream. Growing up, Shilpa had performed at numerous venues for various events, gracing the biggest stages with performers like Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Hard Kaur and has trained with master choreographer, Raju Khan. Taking her performance choreography into her own hands, she slowly began creating unique and dynamic dance fusion numbers while dabbling in Bollywood, bhangra, and bharatnatyam. Now known as Chicago’s bhangra queen, Shilpa has ignited stages with her sizzling performances, and managed to transform her hobby into a lifelong career. With time, she was able to hone her skill to perfection and create impeccable dance fusions audiences had never seen before. Understanding how difficult dancing can be, physically and mentally, Shilpa’s strategic teaching methods are geared towards kids and adults; linking skill, discipline, and entertainment into every session as she pulls from her own experiences and challenges. Her performance knowledge and expertise has lead students and adults of all ages to her door, eager to learn her exclusive dancing and choreography techniques.

Instruction & Lessons

Dance Hungama

Teaching and instruction of basic to advanced steps. Ranging from age 3 all the way to adult classes, Dance Hungama features bollywood, bhangra, hip-hop, and fusion styles. Offered in weekly classes, 4 or 6 week courses, and school year enrollment.

Get On Your Feet!

Bolly-Fit

Get a great workout while having fun! A high intensity session taught as a fitness class. Steps and movements are taught at a basic level and are meant to work in an aerobic fashion! Offered in Bhangra and Bollywood Fusion.

Event Choreography

So, you love to dance, but can't think of any moves? Raunak Dance Co will come in and choreograph dance performances for special events! This includes song mixing (if needed), choreography, and 2 choreography training sessions. (Child, Adult or Group)
